Montpelier Races: Preserving History with McClung’s Print Expertise
Most people know Montpelier as the home of our fourth President of the United States, but did you also know it’s the home of an annual steeplechase event where all funds raised are dedicated to the preservation of the grounds?
Company Overview
The Montpelier Races are a fundraising event held on the grounds of James Madison’s historic home in Orange County, Virginia. The funds raised at this event support the races as well as The Montpelier Foundation, the nonprofit organization dedicated to the preservation of the grounds. McClung Companies partners with The Montpelier Races to provide accurate, timely and high-quality sales and marketing materials so that they can achieve their marketing goals. Delivering these diverse print pieces is not a simple task, but our experienced team members make it happen.
The Solution
McClung designs and prints six pieces which inform, advertise, and market the races. Their print portfolio includes individual hang badges for customer entry, designated parking passes, a map of the grounds, a commissioned poster with original artwork inspired by the races, a mailed brochure and an 84-page race day program which provides information about the horses competing in each race.
Challenges
The most challenging part of designing and printing this program is that we don’t receive the information until 48-hours before it must be in the hands of racegoers. Our team works diligently to ensure that each of these collateral pieces are designed, printed and delivered in a timely manner.
“I feel like the relationship we have with the salesman and the people who work at the plant is vital to our success. We have such a good relationship that I don’t put the printing out to bid.”
We recognize how important your marketing efforts are for your cause, so we pride ourselves in working closely with your team to create effective print fundraising campaigns that accomplish your goals. At McClungCompanies we value our long standing relationships with our clients and our community. We also sponsor the event on an annual basis to show our support for the MHR and our community!
